Treatment that thoughtfully integrates psychotherapy, medication, and other evidence-based approaches to help you thrive. If you already have a therapist, I can manage your medications and work collaboratively with them. If you already have a prescriber, I can be your therapist and coordinate with them instead. Brief contact between sessions, like refill requests and quick questions by message, is part of your care. More involved work, including letters, forms, outside record review, and extended care coordination, is billed separately.
I offer a sliding scale to those interested in meeting more than once a week, usually for psychoanalytic work. Ask me about it.
Psychotherapy for two people — whether partners, a parent and teen or adult child, adult siblings, close friends, or cofounders. Sessions run longer than an individual hour, to honor the reality that two people need more time than one. I’m glad to coordinate with individual therapists or coaches you each see.
Searching for a therapist or psychiatrist often means cold emails, waitlists, and guessing. Instead, I’ll put my network across psychiatry, psychology, and social work to work for you. We’ll meet for an in-depth consultation so I can understand what you’re looking for and what might help most. Then I do the outreach: checking for specific availability, therapeutic fit, and cultural or identity fit where that matters to you, before making a warm introduction to my first recommendation. You’ll also leave with two or three other vetted names, and if the first match doesn’t feel right, I’m glad to make another introduction.
Sometimes you don’t need a new psychiatrist, just a careful second look. People come with a diagnosis that doesn’t quite fit, a medication list that has grown over the years, a question about safety in pregnancy, or a sense that treatment has stalled. Afterward I send a written summary to you and, if you’d like, to your clinician. There’s no expectation of ongoing care, and if you’re already in the right place, I’ll say so.
The practice is out of network, which keeps decisions about your treatment between us and your health information as private as possible. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, I provide superbills and access to Thrizer, which works with most insurers to let you pay only your estimated share (usually your coinsurance) per session once your deductible is met. Estimates vary by carrier, and your insurer makes the final call. More about HSA/FSAs and calling your plan is covered in FAQ.
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.
